I will go one step further and say if I was confined with the witnesses on a "paridise earth" I am quite sure that I would be looking for the apple to eat,or phoning the Gehenna hotline!

with the hypocrosy, silly elders, silly people... feeding lions and cleaning up after animals... everyone living by waterfalls, like the jw's always portray in they're psychotic pamphlets..... or would you rather be dead.
i, personally, would much rather be dead.

Went to the Memorial Last Night
by B_Deserter inthe hall i went to had some guy from bethel who literally sounded like a 12-year-old giving the talk.
all i could think about was v's video about the memorial and how it's nothing but an infomercial for jehovah's witnesses.
i realized why the memorial is "so important" to jehovah's witnesses: it's their biggest recruiting day of the year!

I haven't attended a memorial in 9 years and it sounds like nothing much has changed...This is the first year that I did not get a "special invite"....maybe my family finally got the hint,after "No thank you, Um No ,Nope, Uh uh,I think not,and NO."...

I have been completely out for ten years and would have gladly submitted my letter of resignation so I could be taken off the "member list",but my spouse's family is all witnesses and he asked me not to do that as it would be very difficult for him to associate with his family(his mom being one of the anointed),so out of respect I complied...Otherwise I may have shouted it from the roof tops,no doubt about that.

Living forever in a paradise earth with the Stepford robots is my idea of H*ll.
I believe life would be completely dull without lessons to learn,good verses evil,yin and yang...There would be no excitement,nothing to balance life out,what would everyone do after a while???...twittle thier thumbs?

Who lets it be known that they were once a JW?
by lfcviking ini am curious, for those of us here who have left the jw org, who actually lets it be known to people that they were once a practicing jw.. for me, this is something i tend to keep quiet because it is something i'm not particularly proud of.
anyone else feel the same way?.

Why exactly do you come to this board?
by R.Crusoe ini wondered if anyone, after starting to post here after so long being worried about doing, now just does it because they acn and hasn't stopped to ask why the still feel the need or even pleasure.. so why do you come here?.
do you know?.
it's not easy to completely explain what it is substiruting for imo!.
